After Scandoval, will the cast of Vanderpump Rules ever be the same?
Based on the March 12 episode of the Bravo series, it appears that the answer is no.
In fact, Tom Sandoval’s ex-girlfriend Ariana Madix made it plain to the other women in the friend group that she would cut off any contact with Sandoval following his months-long affair with Rachel “Raquel” Leviss, despite Sandoval’s repeated requests for forgiveness from James Kennedy, Brock Davies, and Tom Schwartz.
“Why would James not respect himself enough to say, ‘I’m good, I’ll go hang out with my other friends’?” Madix asked his girlfriend Ally Lewber, Scheana Shay, Katie Maloney, and Lala Kent, shocked by Kennedy’s choice to go out with Sandoval on a boys’ night.
Kent reasoned, “Because guys are different,” to which Madix retorted, “Well, that’s sad for guys.”
Lewber did point out that Kennedy felt a little bad about trying to put the cheating incident behind him by trying to mend their friendship. Kent responded to Madix’s revelation by saying, “I think everyone’s worried about losing you as a friend.”
While the former cast member of Dancing With the Stars retorted that Sandoval’s affair with Leviss had angered Kennedy “until two seconds ago,” Kent tried to clarify the DJ’s sudden change of heart.
The host of the Give Them Lala podcast said, “But that’s what time does.” “As time goes on, healing begins. I understand that you will always see things differently, Ariana.
However, Madix had a straightforward response when Kent asked her what her thoughts would be if any of the cast members allowed Sandoval back into their lives after his betrayal: “I don’t f–k with that.”
Ultimately, Kent thought Madix was harboring unwarranted resentment.
Following the birth of their daughter Ocean in 2021, Kent parted ways with ex Randall Emmett, saying in a confessional, “Nobody knows what it’s like to deal with an s-–ty ex more than I do.” “I’ll never be free of this person, with whom I had a child. And for that reason, I am aware that holding onto grudges toward your former partner, as Ariana did with Sandoval, will consume you. It’s similar to expecting the other person to die after consuming the poison. It kills you, not helps. That’s not what I want for my pal.”

Shay’s concern that attempting to mend her friendship with Sandoval would lead to Madix severing their relationship was validated by the answer. According to Kent, “I think it’s now been made apparent that if you choose to forgive him, then that will put your friendship at risk.”
Madix shot back even harder, saying, “I said nothing about forgiveness. Simply said, on a random Wednesday night, I’m not going to f——k with folks who are going out to f——king dinner with him.”
Shay commented about being stuck in a difficult situation in a confessional.
“This is exactly what I was afraid of,” the singer of “Good as Gold” said. “I tried to talk to Ariana tonight about everything from losing Sandoval to Dancing With the Stars. But I’m just going to sit back and keep my mouth shut after witnessing her response to James hanging out with Sandoval.”
